Our FEES
Our fees are carefully set to remain in line with local childcare costs, while reflecting the high standard of care, experiences and opportunities we provide every day.
Our fees help us maintain experienced and dedicated teams, high-quality resources, engaging environments and the enhanced experiences that make Roland Lodge a little different — from regular trips out and varied learning spaces to the everyday extras that enrich your child’s time with us.
We’re committed to providing excellent childcare while keeping our fees fair and transparent for families, without compromising on the quality of care and experiences we’re proud to offe

For hours that are not covered by government funding, our private childcare rate is £8.00 per hour.
This rate applies to privately booked childcare hours across our settings and allows families the flexibility to arrange additional care alongside their funded entitlement where availability allows.

Our daily consumables charge helps us provide the additional resources, experiences and everyday extras that sit outside of government-funded childcare and allow us to continue offering the enhanced provision Roland Lodge is known for.

We accept both 15 and 30 hours of government-funded childcare for eligible families.
Funded hours are available within our set funded session times and are subject to availability. Government funding contributes towards your child’s core Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision; it does not cover all of the additional services, resources and experiences we provide.
Families accessing funded hours can choose to opt in to our Consumables & Enhanced Provision, which covers the additional experiences and extras that form part of everyday life at Roland Lodge.
Please see our Consumables & Enhanced Provision information for full details of what is included and the options available to funded families.

We accept Tax-Free Childcare across all Roland Lodge settings.
If you’re eligible, the government will add £2 for every £8 you pay into your Tax-Free Childcare account, helping towards the cost of your childcare fees.
Tax-Free Childcare can be used alongside 15 or 30 hours government-funded childcare, allowing you to use it towards additional privately paid childcare costs and eligible charges.
Payments are made directly to Roland Lodge through your Government Childcare Account. Please ensure your child’s name or payment reference is included wherever possible so we can correctly allocate the payment to your account.
Not sure whether you’re eligible? You can check and apply through the Government Childcare Choices service.

Our invoices are issued monthly in advance, giving families a clear breakdown of their childcare fees, funded hours and any additional charges.
Invoices are usually sent between the 18th–20th of each month, with payment due by the 1st of the following month.
We ask that all invoices are paid on time to ensure your child’s place remains secure. Late payments may incur additional charges, and continued non-payment may result in your childcare place being withdrawn in line with our terms and conditions.
Payments can be made using Tax-Free Childcare or bank transfer, and we ask families to use their child’s name as the payment reference wherever possible.
If you ever have a question about your invoice, please contact us — we’re always happy to explain any charges or help with a payment query.
