Why Roland Lodge?
A little about us….
Roland Lodge is a family-run group of childcare settings, all based on Canvey Island, providing warm, nurturing and exciting environments where children can learn, explore and grow.
What started as a small, home-from-home setting in 2020 quickly grew in popularity with local families. As demand for places increased, so did Roland Lodge, and today we’re proud to have three dedicated sites across Canvey Island, each designed around the different stages of a child’s early years.
We believe childhood should be full of real experiences, adventure and opportunities to discover the world. From our engaging learning environments and role-play village to regular trips out into the local community, we make every day a little different.
At the heart of Roland Lodge is a caring, experienced team who take the time to really know every child, helping them feel safe, confident and ready for their next adventure.
We like to do things a little differently at Roland Lodge. We believe that great childcare starts with great communication, which is why we have an open-door approach and make it as easy as possible for families to stay connected with us.
Each family has access to direct WhatsApp communication with their child’s setting, making everyday conversations quick, personal and accessible. We use this to share updates, little moments from their day and regular photos, so you can feel part of their experiences even when you’re not there.
You’re also welcome to add other family members to the conversation if you wish, helping the people closest to your child stay involved too.
For us, communication shouldn’t be limited to formal meetings or end-of-day handovers — we want our families to feel they can talk to us.
